I am an enthusiastic cyclist and physiotherapist in Melbourne (Northwest Physiotherapy Group, Moonee Ponds). After more than 10 years of running and competing in track & field, my husband who has always been a competitive cyclist, convinced me to start cycling. Since then, I have been cycling on the road and on the track. I enjoy training and racing all kind of events on the road (road race, criterium, handicap race) and in the velodrome (scratch race, point race, elimination race, keirin, motorpace, Madison…).
As I became more serious about training and racing, as a physiotherapist I developed a great interest for research on cycling, especially relating to performance and injuries. I started wondering what would be the best ways to increase performance and avoid injuries for myself, but more importantly to the cycling population. I am passionate about helping people to get the best out of their bodies on the bike. Based on recent research, international coach’s experiences and my physiotherapist knowledge, tips will be given to improve speed, endurance, recovery and avoid pain. If you have any topic of interest, feel free to send me any questions or comments.
